That is, in addition to being old, the animal also lost its sight. But this blind dog’s life changed with the arrival of a friendly guide dog who eased the golden retriever’s grief.
The news was reported by The Dodo website. According to the publication, Charlie’s owner, Chelsea Stipe, found a friend of the same breed to play with and care for the elderly dog.
The idea worked right away, and Charlie was excited about his new friend. He started to go out more for walks, but this time with a cute little guide dog leading the way. Little Maverick arrived at the right time and, without a doubt, changed the lives of his companion and the whole family.
Blind dog is enjoying life again
Charlie’s story is very sad. On the other hand, the owner’s love for him is so much that she continued to take care of him even after he went blind. In a case like this, sacrifice would be an option for some tutors.
Dogs are creatures that need to run, feel the grass in their paws and everything around them. They are curious animals and, of course, this feature makes for a lot of fun memes. So one can only imagine how sad Charlie was after losing his eyes.
“We would buy Charlie toys and he wouldn’t even think about playing. Now, they play with each other all the time,” Chelsea Stipe told The Dodo.
Still according to the owner, Maverick is still very young, as he has only a few months to live. But he seems to already understand that he has a responsibility to take care of Charlie and he does it with love.
